Quasi is a legendary Portland indie-rock band with quite a pedigree. The band consists of the ex-husband and wife team of Sam Coomes (vocals, guitar, roxichord, various keyboards) and Janet Weiss (vocals and drums), along with bassist Joanna Bolme (who also plays with Pavement frontman Steve Malkmus in his band The Jicks). Quasi also often served as the backing band for the late-great songwriter Elliot Smith.

Since the mid-90's Quasi has been known for delivering a high-energy gritty rock show, often centering around Coomes climbing upon his beefed up keyboards while playing and singing virtually upside down. The band will be touring behind their brand new Kill Rock Stars Records album "American Gong".

This is gonna be a sweaty one!

much love,
